Hi! I’m Michele — the artist, founder, and one-woman show behind Clay Dough Co. I started this creative journey with a simple love for sculpting and a deep passion for handmade art. The name Clay Dough Co. was inspired by my son, who used to blend the words clay and Play-Doh into his own sweet version: “Clay Dough.” It felt like the perfect name to capture the playful spirit and imagination behind everything I create. My sculpting roots began in the world of cake decorating. I loved transforming fondant and sugar paste into delicate, edible art. But when I started selling my handmade cake toppers on Etsy in 2016, I quickly realized how difficult it was to ship those fragile decorations — especially in the heat. That’s when I discovered cold porcelain clay. It gave me the same sculpting freedom, but with much more durability. And just like that, my love for clay took off. By 2021, I began creating polymer clay jewelry. In 2023, I officially launched Clay Dough Co., and by 2025, this dream became my full-time job. Today, I handcraft everything from whimsical figurines and custom cake toppers to plant stakes and playful accessories — each piece made with care, character, and a little dash of magic. Running this small business solo is a labor of love, and I'm so grateful to create pieces that bring joy to your celebrations, homes, and everyday life.
